Originally called the San Diego EEO Council, the San Diego Industry Liaison Group began in the late 1970′s as a group of employers who decided to work together in understanding and implementing EEO and Affirmative Action.
In Late 2002, the San Diego EEO Council made a transformation in becoming the San Diego Industry Liaison Group (SDILG). The SDILG is dedicated to promoting equal employment opportunity and providing leadership in the corporate community. The Group is focused on learning about and applying Federal and State EEO and Affirmative Action laws and also providing programs for practical and technical training in these areas.
Our membership is comprised of San Diego employers from many different industries that are dedicated to the principles of EEO, affirmative action and diversity.
The SDILG meets every other month to conduct group business and listen to interesting topics from ADA to addressing Sexual Harassment in the workplace to recruiting a diverse workforce. Topics are chosen by member request. We also contact agencies such as the DFEH. EEOC and the OFCCP to speak on current topics and provide legal updates
